At The Table is a private, members-only mahjong club. We bring together enthusiasts for curated table sessions in an exclusive, welcoming setting.
At the Table was conceptualised and founded by Jharna Sattanathan, whose love for Mahjong began with a simple idea: bring a few people together, teach them the tiles, and enjoy the time spent around a table.
What started with a handful of classes soon grew through word of mouth. Students brought friends, new groups formed, and people who had met over Mahjong began gathering around tables of their own. Jharna realised that the connection happening around the table was just as special as the tiles themselves.
That is how At the Table came to life: a welcoming space in Chennai to learn Mahjong, meet people, and feel part of a community. Whether you are picking up a tile for the first time or coming back for another session, there is a place for you at the table.
Our club operates on an invitation and membership basis, ensuring an intimate and high-quality experience for every member at every table. Whether you have years at the table or are new to the tiles, our community welcomes you.
